Colorado Snowscapes

Snow Scenes, Snowscapes, Snowy Roads ... IT'S SNOW SEASON!
December 2012 - For two weeks Colorado has had a lot of cold weather and snowfall. With my last major snow photo gallery happening on May 7, 2012, I was due for another. On this page are some of my photos in the Grand Junction region. If you love snow, skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, sledding, snowman-making and all things cold, then maybe you'll like this page. Happy Winter! :)

Colorado National Monument

I spent much time in Colorado National Monument, in search of that perfect snowscape.

The third photo includes Independence Monument, which is probably the most popular rock structure in the park. You can see my hike photos to the base of Independence Monument via the Monument Canyon Trail.

Rim Rock Road High Point The high point on Rim Rock Road.

By the way, this is NOT the high point in Colorado National Monument. The true natural high point is near Little Park Road in the No Thoroughfare Canyon region.

I also made a video as it snowed one afternoon ...
