May 10, 2014 - The weather forecast for tomorrow (Mother's Day) calls for 6-10 inches of snow in Colorado's high country, and so I wanted to get in a bicycle ride today.

Using my road bike, I began at the Denny Creek Trailhead on Chaffee County Road 306 ("Cottonwood Pass Road") and pedaled uphill. At the moment, Cottonwood Pass and access to Taylor Park is officially closed, but the gate was open.

Road Biking upward. The snow along the side of the road got bigger.

My bike against a snow bank. I trust you've watched the video above, in which I walk in the snow at this spot. :)

Just beyond the trailhead for Ptarmigan Lake, I turned back. I put my bike on a pile of snow that refuses to melt! :)
