March 2013 - This page has photos that don't fit in other
photo galleries from my recent visit to Moab, Utah. I also include links (at the bottom)
to specific arches and places. Moab, Utah ... a special place in the heart of Utah's canyon country.
Nine miles north of Moab, Utah on U.S. Highway 191.
Coming closer to Moab as I drove south on Highway 191.
I visited Canyonlands National Park one afternoon. The park is broken up into three distinct sections, and I visited the Island in the Sky district.
Looking out at the Shafer Canyon Overlook.
If you have a 4WD vehicle, you can take Shafer Canyon Road from the end of
Potash Road all the way to the top in Canyonlands.
At another overlook, I snapped this photo somewhere between Murphy Point and Mesa Arch.
Two photos of the Utah scenery at the Grand View Point Overlook. That dirt road out there is White Rim Road.
I wanted to take more pictures and create a video, but there were a lot of people and a
screaming young child who went on and on for about ten minutes ruined the mood. Maybe one of these days, I'll return.
Out of Canyonlands National Park and headed to Moab, this rock caught my eye.
More roadside rocks.
