October 29, 2006 - Livingston, Montana
is a small town with character that served as my home base
while visiting Montana and Yellowstone National Park. It is known to be
a windy town with beautiful views of the Bridger Mountains, Absoraka Mountain Range
and Crazy Mountains. Skiing is not a far drive to Bozeman at Bridger Bowl Ski Area.
One evening, Clayton, ~A~ and myself wandered throughout the historic downtown
area to photograph the neon signs. The adjacent photo of the bar sign
is a well-known landmark on Park Street. |

The Mint (left) is a casino and
the Mexican Restaurant sign
(right) came out blurry. I enjoyed dinner in there one evening and recommend it.
I like Livingston. It is a quaint town of about 8,000 to 10,000 people
in south central Montana. |

On this particular night, we
dined at The Wok, located across
from the Livingston Post Office.
Look at all the food we ordered! :) Clayton was chomping one of his garlic
buffalo wings and I ordered a large plate of Mandarin Chicken (middle plate on the table).
~A~, not in the photo, ordered the beef and vegetables plate.
The food was excellent. |

A hotel sign and the Murray Cafe.

Stockman Fine Foods. |

The Whiskey Creek Saloon & Casino. |

The Owl is a bar on 2nd street - many
blues bands perform there.

It was cold outside, and I snapped a shot of Clayton
and ~A~ doing their best to brave the cold.
In the bottom photo, there was
a point where I was explaining the foreign relations between different countries and became animated. |

One last photo ... Rainier Beer!
