|Lincoln Lake, Colorado
Recently I was along for the ride on the Mt. Evans Scenic Byway
(after climbing Rogers Peak),
when I noticed a beautiful high altitude lake way below.
There was no guardrail. A drop from the road would surely lead to one's
death ... but at least you'd be among amazing mountain scenery!
On this page are my photos of Lincoln Lake. Upon examination on my map
(National Geographic #104), the lake is accessed via the Lincoln Lake Trail in the Arapaho National Forest.
This lake is popular for fishing, camping and bouldering.
Some have also used it as a base camp to climb Mount Evans.
If and when I hike to this lake, I would surely update this page.
