Sunsets at Independence Pass
|Colorado Sunsets Ain't Too Shabby|
Pretty much anywhere in Colorado's mountains
is a good spot to enjoy and photograph a sunset. One place I particularly enjoy is Independence Pass,
accessed from Highway 82 between Twin Lakes and Aspen. On this page are my sunset images over the years. Enjoy!

Beautiful sunset colors in the sky.
||Independence Pass sits at 12,095 feet above sea level and
is part of Colorado's Continental Divide. It seperates the towns of
Aspen, Basalt, Carbondale (west) from Twin Lakes and
Highway 82 at Independence Pass is only open for vehicular traffic from approximately
Memorial Day weekend to the first snowfall in mid-October.
