Goblin Valley State Park - Hanksville, Utah

My Visit To A Desert Paradse Filled With Hoodoos In The San Rafael Swell Region

A place like no other in southeast Utah ...
Goblin Valley State Park is a specatcular site with hoodoos and cliffs that are fitting for the scenic reputation of southeast Utah. There is a campground, a picnic area that overlooks the park, hiking trails and a visitor center that make it worthy of a visit. Look at my photos below: Don't those rocks look like of goblins? This idea of goblins make it a great place to bring the kids, as it can be fun to play among the rocks. Enjoy my photos and videos below.

April 14, 2013 - From Green River, Utah, I traveled south on State Highway 24 toward the entrance to Goblin Valley State Park.

The stunning landmark behind the sign is Wild Horse Butte.

Three photos of the scenery from the parking lot and picnic area. This section is named Valley #1, where most people explore the hoodoos.

You can hike farther south to explore Valleys #2 and #3, where you'd probably enjoy more solitude.

Sometimes I stand out there so you get perspective on the size of these structures.

Goblin Valley State Park, Utah I also hiked on the Carmel Canyon Trail. This unique rock lured me into being photographed.

See the black crow on top of the left rock? He was a noisy guy!

Carmel Canyon Trail, UT I took the trail all the way into the canyon, which leads to a view point of Molly's Castle.

As ColoradoGuy.com, I realize that I'm "married" to Colorado, but Utah is becoming my full-time mistress. ;)
Driving back to Green River, where I'd stay for the night, I snapped more photos of the desert.

Nice views way up on Valley 1.

Does anything beat Utah scenery? No, there isn't!

The ideas for videos were plentiful.
