Florida Pete Promotes Poem He Wrote For This Web Site!

Hair Consultant candidate Florida Pete (right photo) recently promoted an interesting poem he wrote that is dedicated to this web site.

"I wrote that poem because this web site is awesome! The poetry forum needed some levity as well." wrote Pete.

Pete contrasted his hard work in writing a smooth-reading poem (with rhymes, no less!) to his opponent (Phil), who has never done such a thing. "Have any of the other Hair Consultant candidate ever written a poem for you? I thought not."

The poem, according to Steve "Colorado Guy" Garufi, is somewhat outdated, being that he moved from Manitou Springs to Buena Vista 18 months ago. Titled "It's A Garufi Life," the literary work is posted below for your reading pleasure.

He lives in downtown Manitou,
And "Boki" is his friend.
He likes to eat at "Spice Of Life",
His laundry baffles him.
I find myself returning,
to his website 'cause I care.
Some reason it's concerning me,
Who consults him 'bout his hair.
His life is so exciting,
In a third grade sort of way.
When toilet paper goes deplete
It somehow makes his day!
He's loaded up with talent,
His mind's a swiss watch ticking.
His forehead squashes doughnuts,
He speaks of booger picking.
I wonder where he'll link me next?
Look, his stomach's like a pie!
Now he's kissing cactus, Ow!
Got a needle in his eye.
He says he's from New Jersey,
But, to me that sounds absurd.
I saw him sitting in a car,
He didn't "flip the bird".

I know enough by now, at least,
If it's within my powers.
Not to take a trip with Steve,
In a car for seven hours.

There are two candidates (Florida Pete and Phil The Lurker) who are candidates in the annual mid-April election that determines who will serve as Hair Consultant - the chief encourager and "go to person" for Steve "Colorado Guy" Garufi in his effort to grown his naturally curly hair really long.
