Consider the embarrassing display of avatars to the right and the comments provided by Phil The Lurker's campaign:

Pete ... His fake photo and hair! Hey, at least his teeth resemble his hair, by golly!
Tom ... More hair on his hands than, well, sorry Tom!
Shana ... At least her teeth look nice!

"Everyone knows there are two reasons people wear hats: To cover bad hair or to cover a bald head!" contended Phil, "These sympathizers are hiding their hair. This is sad!"

Steve has maintained a firm policy of neutrality during the election, but that did not stop Phil from challening Steve about the disturbing possiblity that Pete could be elected his top encourager for his long hair: "Colorado Guy, Is this really your choice for Hair Consultant??!!!! Go ahead and elect Pete and join the sympathizers ... They obviously don't know hair!"

One forum regular, who insisted on remaining anonymous to stay clear of all the mean-spirited and negative campaigning stated, "It is kind of odd how Pete's cheering section are hiding their hair ... It could be because they have insecurities about their hair and how it looks for them."

Conversely different than Pete, Phil The Lurker prides himself on wearing his hair out for all to see and he has gained endorsements from other forum "regulars" who proudly show off their hair in their avatars. Lisa in Oklahoma, Glenda ("Leynas Mom") and Nerdolita in Norway are just a few.

This year, there are two candidates (Florida Pete and Phil The Lurker) running in the annual mid-April election that determines who will serve as Hair Consultant - the chief encourager and "go to person" for Steve "Colorado Guy" Garufi in his effort to grown his naturally curly hair really long.
