Here is the finale of Colorado photos from my wandering through Aspen, Carbondale,
Redstone, Marble and McClure Pass on Saturday. The overcast afternoon made picture
taking difficult, but I think I came up with some decent
shots.
Adjacent photo: The Crystal River flows downward just south of Redstone. |

Just west of Independence Pass is the ghost town of Independence.

An array of columbines and other purple flowers near the Redstone General Store. |

Heading north on Highway 133 in Carbondale, I stuck the camera out the window and snapped this shot. :) |
 |
The view coming down McClure Pass on the Crystal River Valley side. Looking at my map, one of those mountains is Ragged Mountain, alt. 12,094 feet. |
 |
I photographed a whole bunch of aspens in two spots, one east of Aspen
the other near McClure Pass. You can see more here: Colorado Aspens. |

The view of Mt. Sopris between Carbondale and Redstone on Highway 133. |
 |
Redstone is a very beautiful little village hidden away
in a canyon with red sandstone cliffs. It was just beautiful! You can see all of
my photos of this town here: Redstone, Colorado. |
 |
Hays Creek Falls is located just off the highway and two miles south of Redstone. |
 |
I also spent a short time in the town of Marble, Colorado. |
