Bridal Veil Falls - Telluride, Colorado

A Pretty Waterfall in the San Juan Mountains
If you love waterfalls and happen to be visiting Telluride, Bridal Veil Falls should be on your "to do" list. The photos below speak for themselves. Note: This waterfall should not to be confused with Bridal Veil Falls in South Dakota.

Directions: Travel east on Colorado Avenue (the main drag) through Telluride. Continue past the Pandora Mine. At this point, a 4WD vehicle is a good idea. You'll see the waterfall on the right ... continue up the dirt road and at one of the major switchbacks, you'll reach the base of the waterfall. Hiking up the road is another option.

This is a true free-falling waterfall ... none of this cascading stuff.
