Biking on Chaffee County Road 306 - Buena Vista, Colorado

Cycling in the Mountains
April 25, 2014 - With the weather warmer, I've been cycling regularly and this afternoon I biked a steep section of Chaffee County Road 306. This is the route that leads to Cottonwood Pass. Honestly, I only biked from the San Isabel National Forest sign to Rainbow Lake, but it was a good enough workout. I invite you to see my photos from when I biked all the way to the pass. Also, see when Robert and Twain did it too.

Wow! What a mountain view. My bike against the guardrail with Rainbow Lake behind.

Big Horn Sheep

Traveling upward, I passed three young bighorn sheep on the side of the road. Watch Video #1 below to see them.

While speeding down, I captured these three photos of the bighorn sheep. If you're into this kind of stuff, enjoy my wildlife page. Also, check out my best video of the bighorn sheep from last year.

The bighorn sheep can be seen best at 0:40.

Plenty of mountain views.

It was nice to see those patches of snow. :)
