40 Miles: Joyous Anticipation Over Successfully Biking Across Colorado; Cycling In Desert To Four Corners
It's mostly desert riding for the 40 miles from Cortez to Four Corners.
The entrance to Four Corners.
The New Mexico sign.
The Arizona flag.
The "Welcome to Colorful Colorado" sign. (But there was no Utah sign. There must have been a flag, but I didn't take a picture of it.)
Happy over the accomplishemnt and thankful for my bike, I placed it in all four states. :)
A closer shot of the Four Corners Monument.
I met this gentleman named Bruce who agreed to shuttle me back to Cortez. Thank you, Bruce! :)
I would spend this day and two more days at a motel in Cortez, where I rented a car and visited Mesa Verde National Park,
and other scenic spots in southwest Colorado.
Then my friends Jesse and Kelly came to Cortez and
shuttled me back to Manitou Springs.
When I arrived back to work in Colorado Springs, this cake was awaiting me. Good memories! :)
