and JFK history buffs make this car noteable and have driven its value up. In 1963, 15 ambulances just like this one were issued to the Navy. On the
day JFK was assassinated, his deceased body was flown from Dallas to
Washington, and then he was transported in one of these
ambulances. You can read the detailed information below, but many believe the actual ambulance
that was used was destroyed. However, this vehicle was indeed part of that original fleet of naval ambulances.
