1950 Mercury Wasabi at Allen Unique Autos
|Neon Green. Crazily Customized. Spectacular.
The 1950 Mercury Custom has been named a "Mercury Wasabi" for its striking neon green color.
Whether you love it or hate it, this is one classic car
that you'll never forget at Allen Unique Autos,
an auto museum in Grand Junction, Colorado.
If you're a fan of classic cars and the color neon green, you're in awe, aren't you? :)
Photos and video by Steve Garufi in Fruita, Colorado.
The car is wholly neon green, but despite fiddling with my camera's controls, some of these photos make it look green-yellow. Ugh!
The front grill, headlights, bumper and engine.
The owner of this car collection is a woman (Tammy Allen), and it's neat to see splashes of femininity in the presentation of
some of the cars. Nice neon green high heel shoes. :)
With the car roped off on one side, it was difficult to capture other angles of the car.
The interior is a beautiful white that goes so well with neon green. The body is smooth and sleek.
You'll have to see it in person.
A list of its customizations. It sits on a 1978 Oldsmobile frame.
